Just wanted to get the discussion rolling...any ideas are welcome.
Some topics that come to mind..
- Scouts OFF? just so then it's not a requirement to own the game (probably makes it easier to find dedicated GMs and keep league activity up)
- Sims 3-4 times a week, 10 days at a time?
- Salary cap or no salary cap?
- Do we want/need a trade council?
- International FAs?

I would be OK with no salary cap if we re-set the finances. Otherwise salary cap is fine. I vote for no trade council. Maybe some rule could be in place for emergency cases.
I am fine with the other things.
Otherwise, I think it would be fun to bring back Dank points. Just a small treat to look forward to before free agency/preseason.

I think you do need a council for trades. In any league there are some trades in where you look at the trade and know someone got shafted.
i like the International idea and the rest are fine

No salary cap, or at least a soft cap, a team with say albatross contracts such as A-Rod or Ryan Howard will be screwed for the first few years because their contracts would take up 25-30 percent of their cap
Probably should do a trade council just in case we have some novice gms that wouldn't know what's fair value in a deal
Also kind of a stupid question but if you download the game does it count as owning the game just making sure

I kinda like the idea of not having a salary cap.
For trade council, maybe we can have like a probationary period for new members of a year where any trades made have to be confirmed by some people, but otherwise I think people should be able to do whatever they want (outside of obvious cheating) - seems like most trade councils end up being way too restrictive.

Also, dank points will definitely be in place. For anyone unfamiliar with the concept, every preseason there will be a topic like this: fankinootp.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=roids&action=display&thread=8 For 1 point, you can increase any players CURRENT rating by 1 point, and for 2 points, you can increase any players TALENT rating by 1 point. Each team gets 10 points to use.

Draft picks for the current and upcoming drafts can be traded. I will post a thread on draft pick trading rules tomorrow.

Can we change ratings to like 20-80 or 1-10? Even 1-20 would be better

I second what thoran said the 20-80 scale would be the most realistic if possible

Also if there is an international signing period what will be the limit a team can spend before restrictions kick in?

I mean it's not a big issue it's just a preference I've never in all my years playing this have used 1-100 the 20-80 scale is what major league scouts use
